How to book and cancel KTX on the Korail website

- How to reserve the KTX train ticket on the Korail Website.

1. Access the following website: (Korail Website is available to use without creating an account)

2. Click "RAIL TICKETS"

 

 

3. Enter information such as the date on which you want to take the train, the train departure station, the train arrival station, the type of train, and the number of passengers. Unless there is a special reason, select "Direct". Depending on the type of KTX, the route, time required and train fare may vary. First, I recommend that select "All" to check the train by time zone and then choose the train that best suits your schedule.

 

4. Click "Inquiry". You can check the train information by time zone, the name of the train, departure time and arrival time at the bottom.

 

5. Click "Fare" to check the fare before selecting the train. Because the price varies by train type and seat. 

 

6. Choose the train that best suits you from among the trains then clicks "Select"

 

 

7. Fill out the customer information and click on "Next" at the bottom.

 

8. Before making the payment, make sure that the train ticket you want to reserve is correct. Then fill out payment information and click "Next" to complete the reservation!

 

9. If you have reserved a train ticket at Korail Website, you should print the train ticket and take it with you.

 

- How to check the reserved tickets on the Korail Website.

1. Click "MY RESERVATIONS". 

 

2. Select one of the emails, password or card number to fill out the information used when booking train tickets and fill out the rest of the blanks. Click "Inquiry". Then you can check the train ticket details you reserved.

 

3. If you want to reprint your train ticket, select the train you want to print, then click "Details".

 

- How to cancel the KTX train ticket on the Korail Website.

1. Click "RAIL TICKETS". Then, click "REISSUE/REFUND". Select "Refund" and select one of the emails, password or card number to fill out the information used when booking train tickets and fill out the rest of the blanks. Click "Inquiry".

 

 

2. Check the train ticket you want to refund is correct. Then select the train you want to refund and click "Refund"

 

3. Check again if the train ticket you want to refund is correct. Then click "REFUND".

 

 

4. You can confirm that your refund is complete.

 

- Helpful advice when using KTX

1. There are several train stations, but most of the major trains depart from Seoul Station.

 

2. There are no other turnstiles to go by to catch the train.

 

3. If the Korail staff asks for a train ticket, you can show the tickets that print out from the Korail website.
