How to book and cancel KTX with the Korail app

- How to reserve the KTX train ticket with the Korail app.

1. Download Korail App to your phone. (Korail App is available to use without creating an account)

 

2. Write the name of the city at the departure and arrival.

 

3. Please select the date on which you want to take the train You can reserve train tickets up to a month later. For example, you can reserve a train ticket until June 13th on May 14th.

 

4. Click "+" as much as the number of train tickets you want to reserve.

 

5. Unless there is a special reason, select "Direct". Depending on the type of KTX, the route, time required and train fare may vary. First, I recommend that select "All" to check the train by time zone and then choose the train that best suits your schedule.

 

6. Click "Inquiry". You can check the train information by time zone.

 

7. Choose the train. Then you can check the name of the train, departure time and arrival time at the bottom.

 

8. Click "Train Timetable" at the bottom to see the detailed route of trains by time zone, and click "Train Fare" to see the train fare for each class of seats on the train.

 

9. Choose the train that best suits you from among the trains then clicks "Reservation" at the bottom. Then, fill out the customer information and click on "Next" at the bottom.

 

10. Before making the payment, make sure that the train ticket you want to reserve is correct.

 

11. Fill out payment information and click "Check out" to complete the reservation!

 

12. Click on "Check/Refund Ticket". Then, select one of the emails, password or card number to fill out the information used when booking train tickets and choose the nationality. Click on "Inquiry". Then you can check the train ticket details you reserved.

 

- How to cancel the KTX train ticket with the Korail app.

1. Click on "Check/Refund Ticket". Then, select one of the emails, password or card number to fill out the information used when booking train tickets and choose the nationality. Click on "Inquiry". 

 

2. Check again if the train ticket you want to refund is correct. Then click "Refund" and click "Confirm" to complete the refund!

 

3. Check the cancellation policy.

 

- Helpful advice when using KTX

1. There are several train stations, but most of the major trains depart from Seoul Station.

 

2. There are no other turnstiles to go by to catch the train.

 

3. If the Korail staff asks for a train ticket, you can show the tickets that look like as below on the Korail app.
